"No Picnic" Review and Upcoming Discussion of "A Walk in the Woods"

Our meeting this past Thursday was quite successful, and featured several new faces. With that said, I would like to apologize for a lack of communication in the days leading up to the meeting. I attempted to send out a reminder, but, for reasons still unknown, the email didn't send.  For those of you who were unaware of the meeting because of this, I'd like to apologize again; I hope that you all still did get a chance to read "No Picnic on Mount Kenya." I won't be here for the latter half of July, but members in attendance at the last meeting expressed interest in meeting once again in early July. In consideration of the limited amount of time before the next meeting, we chose a book on the spot:  "A Walk In the Woods," by Bill Bryson.  It's a book about hiking rather than mountaineering, and is a fun, quick read that many of you may already be familiar with.
